The factory transmission calibration on M157-equipped AMGs is designed primarily for comfort and component protection. While smooth, it limits shift speed, torque transfer, and overall responsiveness — especially once the engine output is increased.
The DTK M157 TCU Tune removes these limitations, allowing the transmission to fully support the engine’s increased torque while delivering faster, firmer, and more consistent shifts in all driving conditions.
